Workforce1 Individual Training Grants (ITGs) are available for customers seeking to develop occupational skills for in-demand careers in healthcare, transportation, computer technology, and security services. These vouchers can fund course tuition, registration fees, testing fees, and books, helping you launch a new career or advance in your current one.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a Workforce1 Individual Training Grant, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Visit a Workforce1 Career Center in person.
  • Be unemployed or currently employed with an annual income of less than $91,000.
  • Be willing to report job placement information following course completion.
  • Meet the education and work experience requirements for the specified occupation.
  • Be 18 years of age or older.
  • Be actively looking for training and employment opportunities.

  • Occupation: Home Health Aide
  • Minimum Work Experience: No experience required
  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED

How to Apply

Follow these steps to apply for an Individual Training Grant:

  1. Attend an Information Session: Schedule and attend a session at your local Workforce1 Career Center to learn more about the program.
  2. Take and Pass a Skills Test: Complete a skills assessment to determine your readiness for the chosen training program.
  3. Complete an Application: Submit a detailed application form provided during the information session.
  4. Interview with a Workforce1 Career Advisor: Meet with an advisor to discuss your goals and eligibility.
