The Pharmacy Technician program at IP Training School is a NYSDOE-approved, fully online course designed to prepare students for a rewarding and in-demand career supporting licensed pharmacists in a variety of healthcare settings. Pharmacy technicians play an essential role in dispensing medication, managing inventory, and ensuring patients receive safe, accurate, and timely pharmaceutical care. Our program is structured to deliver both the theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills needed to succeed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician without requiring students to work a pharmacy job first to qualify for certification.
Fast-Track Callout: Skip the 500+ hour requirement. Most aspiring pharmacy technicians must first find a job in a pharmacy and work anywhere from 500 to 2,500 hours before they’re even eligible to sit for their certification exam. Our program lets you complete just 120 hours of NYSDOE-approved coursework mostly online, with a short in-person skills lab and then go straight to your certification exam. Save months (or years) of job-hunting and unpaid eligibility hours, and get certified faster.
U.S. Citizens – Identification: Must provide one of the following for verification purposes:
Non-U.S. Citizens – Legal Status Documentation: Must provide documentation verifying legal status in the U.S. Acceptable documents include:
